APPGEN Bill of Materials

The Appgen PowerWindows Bill of Materials package tightly integrates with the PowerWindows Inventory Control system and provides the features necessary to accurately and easily make adjustments to stock levels and product costs of all inventory items involved in the production of subassemblies and finished products. This system is ideal for both manufacturers and wholesale distributors who perform light assembly.

Each bill of materials (BOM) is a comprehensive list of the components and quantities necessary to produce a finished product or subassembly. There are no limitations for number of components, or number of levels to a BOM. The components may be raw materials, subassemblies, other finished products, labor, setup, overhead, subcontracted labor, and other production and miscellaneous considerations. In other words, virtually all components and processes involved in the manufacture or assembly of a product are represented in the BOM in a quantitative manner, giving the ability to automatically and accurately compute the cost of any product at any given time.
